A message from our Founder & Executive Director

A stronger future starts with steady ground.

As we begin the third quarter, I find myself reflecting on how much can happen in just six months. Every family served, meal shared, volunteer who showed up, donor who gave, and partner who stood beside us has moved our mission forward.

The work of Palmer House is never only about meeting an immediate need. It is about restoring hope, creating stability, and opening opportunities that help individuals and families build a stronger future.

This quarter marks one of our busiest seasons. As children prepare to return to the classroom, we are working alongside our community to help ensure students have the supplies and clothing they need to begin the school year with confidence. A backpack filled with school supplies represents much more than notebooks and pencils. It provides encouragement, dignity, and a strong start.

We also continue to place a strong emphasis on mental health and wellness. Through Wellness Works and trusted community resources, we help individuals and families identify support for emotional well-being, self-care, and overall health.

Collaboration remains at the heart of everything we do. We are strengthening relationships with nonprofit organizations, businesses, faith communities, schools, and civic leaders because lasting change happens when we work together.

None of this would be possible without you. Every donation, volunteer hour, partnership, referral, and word of encouragement helps families move from crisis to stability. Thank you for believing in our mission and walking alongside us.

Real Impact

She did not have to take the next step alone.

A caregiver had been holding everything together for everyone else. She knew she needed support, but the cost felt impossible, transportation was uncertain, and she did not know how to begin the conversation.

Through Wellness Works and a community referral, she received a short list of trusted options, help organizing her questions, and a plan for the next call. The challenge did not disappear overnight. She no longer had to navigate it alone.

Wellness Works focus: Getting help should not be this hard.

The barrier is often not willingness. Explore four realities families may have to navigate before care is within reach.

01

Care can feel like a luxury.

Therapy, appointments, and ongoing support add up. For a family already stretched, help can become another need they cannot afford to choose.

Wellness Works connects families to support designed around real-life constraints.

AI Made Practical

AI can help you prepare for a difficult conversation.

AI cannot replace a trusted professional. It can help you organize questions, understand a resource, and prepare for a conversation.

What do you need help navigating?

“I live in Fort Bend County, Texas. Help me prepare a short list of questions for a wellness appointment. I have been feeling overwhelmed and want to explain my concerns clearly. Do not diagnose me or ask for private medical information.”
